The Indecision
Yours is an airline company. You know Janet Bell is the sporty kind. She flies first class with your airline.
The Women's Half Marathon is happening in Auburn California which is an hour flight from where Utah, Salt Lake City where Janet lives. Then there is the Cyclocross happening around the same time in New Orleans which is a 3 hour flight. She has made an enquiry with your airline for flights, to both Auburn and New Orleans.
The Prediction
From her social media you learn that she was considering the Cyclocross. But she isn’t sure she can fly back in time to attend an important client meeting, the next morning. Besides she is swamped by work already and cannot spend much time planning the trip.
The Prompt
Within a fraction of a second, your system is able to the sales staff that there is a 12 pm flight to New Orleans and there is a late night 1 am flight at back to Salt Lake City from New Orleans. But that there are no first class seats on the flight. Can Janet be persuaded to fly economy and return late at night, for the morning meeting? You marketing manager decides and instructs staff to make Janet an offer.
The Action
Janet receives a message in her inbox. The message greets her personally and thanks her for being a loyal customer of your airline. It then makes the offer stating that keeping in mind her interest in the Cyclocross game, the airline is making her a unique offer. If she were willing to fly Economy just this once, they would allow her to first check in, to save time, otherwise allowed only to Concierge Key Members of the airline.
Moreover, the airline would also arrange for a taxi service when she landed back in the later hours, so that she could feel more relaxed and save energy for the important meeting the next day.
Offer accepted.
