Step by step Guide for “How to design an email in IBM Marketing Cloud (Silverpop)”
A mailing is the content that is sent to your contacts. It is essentially the email itself.
A subject line
Mailing content such as text, images and links
Reply to Address
The system allows you to personalize the mailing based on information that you have collected within your database on each of your contacts. You can also personalize the ‘From Address’ and ‘Reply-to Address’.
You have the option to either create HTML mailings or plain text mailings. Any images or graphics within your mailings can either be stored on our servers or you can host your own content and reference it within the mailing.
You can also preview your mailing prior to sending and run a spam check to see if there are any issues that may prevent mailing from reaching your intended audience.
Design view vs. Source view
Silverpop gives you the ability to use a design editor that allows you to create your mailings without knowing HTML code using the Content Builder. However, you may also create your mailing by writing HTML in the Source view. You also have the ability to import HTML into a mailing template.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text font_size=”18″]It means that if you spend an hour a day on social media over a cellular network, you could be using 2.7 GB of data a month. Even half an hour of daily social media browsing could consumer 1.35 GB.
A lot of that usage is likely due to the auto-play video Facebook recently added to its app. The videos appear at different rates for each user based on a variety of factors in Facebook’s newsfeed algorithm. Twitter is also said to have a similar feature coming to its feed soon.
You can disable the auto-play option for newsfeed videos when you’re on a cellular network by going in to the Facebook app and tapping the options button (the three horizontal lines on top of each other) found on the bottom right for the iOS version, and towards the top right for the Android version. Then tap Account Settings > Videos and Photos > Auto-play > disable Smart Auto-play > and tap Use Wi-Fi Only.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”7780″ img_size=”full” onclick=”img_link_large” hover_effect=”img_zoom_effect” el_class=”prettyPhoto” title=”Design View”][vc_single_image image=”7781″ img_size=”full” onclick=”img_link_large” hover_effect=”img_zoom_effect” el_class=”prettyPhoto” title=”Source View”][vc_custom_heading text=”Music and Video Streaming” font_container=”tag:h3|font_size:18|text_align:left|color:%23333333|line_height:36px” google_fonts=”font_family:Open%20Sans%3A300%2C300italic%2Cregular%2Citalic%2C600%2C600italic%2C700%2C700italic%2C800%2C800italic|font_style:600%20bold%20regular%3A600%3Anormal”][vc_column_text font_size=”18″]When creating a template, there are several areas that you should be aware of.
